The other day was just horrible for me, starting with a bad morning which led to a self-pitying mood which lingered for the rest of the day. I had even started an LJ entry to vent and rant but at the last minute deleted it all. Instead, the next day I was thinking of ways to try and improve myself and that seemed like a much better use of space

I can tell you I lost nearly 10% of my body weight in under 3 months. You don't even have to martyr yourself, either, especially when you don't have a specific goal in mind. You can do it!!

And I saw that! Congrats! Your post is part of what got me thinking about the weight loss thing for myself, admittedly. It's been rolling in my mind for a while but I want to try and finally DO something about it. I'd like to get off the blood pressure medicine I'm on and just being healthier would be nice, too. Part of my problem is that by the time I get home in the evenings (between 7:30 and 8:00) I just want to eat and stare at the TV or something.
