Haunt attraction at Queen Mary
Every year, I try to make at least one haunted attraction, as I love these things! This year, my instructor invited me to Queen Mary Dark Harbor. We arrived in Long Beach early, but were unable to get dinner on the Queen Mary, as every restaurant was full with reservations. Today, I fly the flag. I also decided to honorably dispose of a cloth flag that has seen much service. I took the flag to my local city hall, but the box for disposal by the American Legion was jammed by another flag. For the last two days, the weather has been borderline inclement, so I did not put the flag out. Today, the weather is bright and sunny, and the flag flies outside. Well, last Saturday, I went in for my annual eye checkup. Last year, the doctor said I would need bifocals. My prescription really hasn't changed, which is good. However, instead of bifocals, I now have two pairs of glasses. One is for reading and one is for regular, daily use. I have the reading glasses and like them. I'm not sure what I want to do for my birthday today. I was going to go to Red Robin, but they have a club they ask you to join before giving you a free birthday whatever. I will have to find a place that is open, but not packed for Mother's Day. I am not fond of crowds and that wouldn't be fun for my birthday. I'll think of something, I am sure ( Read more... ) -
Rio
I don't normally celebrate Easter, so I just decided to go see the movie Rio. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, soundtrack, and visuals of Rio and will probably purchase the movie when it comes out on DVD. -

Bad news and good news
It's that time of year. I received a "nice" greeting card from our friends at the IRS. Apparently, there was a discrepancy between my tax return and some other sources of information. Winter training
Well, I am a morning person, but this morning I got up early. Very early. Today was winter training in the dojo from 7-9AM. My prediction was wrong
During the con, I had expressed the opinion that, since FC moved weekends, it would pour the following weekend when FC would have been there. I was wrong. There is no rain forecast in the San Jose area for the next ten days. We would have had nice weather regardless of the weekend.
