I am very glad the problem with my balcony is fixed, because this rain would surely overwhelm the drain otherwise. We had a good black belt test at the dojo on Saturday. Every time I complain about the weather, I start to think about back East. Right now, a nasty snowstorm is hitting Minnesota and the Midwest. Today, I went out and saw Megamind and then had Thanksgiving dinner at Mimi's Cafe. Mimi's was packed, and yet I received excellent service. The food is always good, but the service was superior considering Thanksgiving is the busiest time. As a single diner, I am used to being ignored in favor of couples or families. Er, I hate to break it to you, Kia, but rapping hamsters are not going to persuade me to even look at your Kia Soul. The point of your annoying commercial is that a Kia Soul is better than A. a cardboard box or B. a mobile toaster? It may well be marginally better than both of those options, but it does not encourage me to purchase the car.

Today, I was taking out the trash before the rain hits. A car pulled up next to me and a man leaned out the window. I was expecting a question about directions or the location of a particular building in our condo complex. His question? "How did you lose the weight?"
