So, got internet hooked up... earlier this week I think? So I figured I should throw up a post. And coincidentally I just beat Persona 4, so here's my final thoughts, with hopefully not too many spoilers.
Same here, his reasoning ticked me off to be honest. The Eye is a pain on expert, because he likes spamming his stupid eye lasers repeatedly. It's a fun game, I just think the plot kind of falls apart in the end a bit. Certain things don't make as much sense in retrospect, like there was some dialogue that indicates that the killer was raised in Inaba/been there for a while, while other bits of dialogue make it seem as if he arrived only days before you...
Getting the best ending is also really counter-intuitive. Some vague hints: talk to all your maxed out S.Links when you get the chance after beating the Eye, and remember that you still have things to do/check the elevator doors in Junes after talking to your maxed S.Links.
I hate how important to the plot Igor and the Velvet room are in Persona 3 and 4 as well...
And I figured out why Igor's importance bothers me: he took the place of Philemon from the first two games! So Igor tells you all about your Persona and the like, whereas it's usually Philemon.
And if you go for the True Real Ending, you're going to love the Fox :D, since he's the only way to get your SP back. A good way to get cash is to run through earlier dungeons, since the enemies are easy, and you can build up your cash like that.
Finally, guess which Persona game I'm playing now (well, besides 3 :P)? I'll give you a hint, it was never officially translated in the states :D.
