Yeah it has those internet shorts, I didn't know they existed until I saw them on the DVD collections.

Ah yes, The Critic.

The first season was so brilliant. The plot and cast were fantastic. Yet, for reasons only the idiots at ABC will ever understand, the show took a more simplified and uncomplicated turn in the second season, removing the most interesting aspects of the back story of Jay Sherman's family. Once the character was locked into his studio/workplace plots, everything fell apart.

The movie parodies were always funny, but not enough to carry the whole half hour. The show always felt like a Woody Allen movie. The problem is that too much of the same thing becomes boring. I'm glad to see the Flash episodes made it onto the DVD. The romance plot was somewhat entertaining, and the last of the movie parodies were very good. Somewhat dated now, but still funny to recall
