Do not let your mom buy you an "old clunker". Tell her you have a child and you refuse to transport him in an "old junker". Not to mention you've dumped so much money into their car, and now they have a new(er) car because YOU were in an accident that WASN'T YOUR FAULT. Everyday, I really stop liking your parents.
Secondly, no walking to work. No. If you really have no other way, call me and I'll come get you. With the way crime is going in this city, I don't like that idea.
As for your uncle, don't sweat it. You are on this planet to live your life. Shake off this concept of what other people think your life should be and follow your own image. I think thats what you are doing. Fuck what they think. Hell, seems the pople that don;t like what your doing are people that failed at life anyways, so why listen to them at all. Your dad has given up, so obviously any advice he has about life can be disregarded.
I'll be rock climbing tonight, you work right? What are you doing tomorrow? Friday? Wanna spend some time?
If you want the truth of the matter, my parents, in an of themselves, aren't really that bad. I know I tend to paint a different picture sometimes, but, when you look at everything, they aren't bad people. They make mistakes, they can be childish at times, and they certainly piss me off quite often. However, there are good times, too. Those have just been few and far between lately.
As for the car, I completely agree. I'm not going to get some "old junker" as my mom puts it. I laid out about seven or eight cars that would've been perfect for either them or me (with a few in particular for me) a couple days before they saw the Mazda. I'm not accepting less.
As for my uncle, I don't really have much to say to or about him anymore. I'm tired of his holier-than-thou attitude. It just pisses me off that he, like so many people I know, can't see past his own shit to realize there are other points of view. I mean, christ almighty, even my dad is starting to come to terms with me leaving
