This, by far and away, is your best fic. Yeah, even better than the CI universe - and considering how much I love that universe and MishaFei, that's really saying something.
The way you write Yoh is just breathtaking. I feel that you understand him really well, you get him. Every scene was perfect, and he was kept completely in character from beginning to end.
His interaction with Fei Long was very precise. I like when he's pissed - somehow that's incredibly sexy.
And I especially like that you pointed out how Yoh is Fei Long's subordinate by choice. I've always seen him as a man on equal ground with Asami, Fei, and Mikhail. That even though he's a subordinate for two men, he is nobody's servant.
I also really enjoyed that you made Fei smoke cigarettes. Cos I've always wanted to see that (he looks like the cig type to me) and every fic I read has him smoking an opium pipe. Thing is, I don't even know for certain if he does smoke opium. Cos the pipe he uses looks like a kiseru to me. And I guess I'm ( ... )

Thanks for the Yoh/Fei fic.. and I'm really sorry to hear about your friend (I know it's been 5 years now, but the loss of anyone close has never been easy). I hope she's happy where she is now.
