My boss and officemate are so fantastic. There's a conference coming up and they just sort of dumped the program book in my lap. It's the really huge annoying project that nobody else wants to do, so they've given me total control over the whole thing, editing and formatting and everything. It's awesome that not only do you get to do this project that no one else wants without micromanagement, but also that you happen to be the person who is excited about a project that no one else is. That's a great way to have all your co-workers love you, is finding a thing that you love to do that is essential that they can't stand.
