Well, as the title says, here's the beginning of the Descaretes Revision.

I'm not sure I understand...are you actually writing a book?

Nope... just building a world. Essentially I'm writing the background info.

To use the Coldfire Trilogy as an example, what I'm doing is writing down pretty much every fact about the world that would be helpful, but leaving the main story unwritten.
