Cyber mood swings

There seems to be a lot of unhappy on my flist today. Not all, certainly, but a rather larger proportion than is normal. Why is this, do you think? Is it the same thing as when a group of females living together will gradually align their schedules? Some kind of online group mood cohesion? Winter always makes me cranky. Doesn't seem like it should be a big factor in NorCal, where winters are mild and this one is downright warm, but I still do notice the decreasing sunlight.

I did notice that about a half dozen of my friends have broken up with their spouse/partner/long term boy/girl-friends within about a 6 month period (including me), and only one has a significant new relationship in that time. It seems to be a season.

Mmmm, could be. I have a friend who is very into astrology, and would doubtless have an explanation involving planetary trines and alignments and such. I have to admit, she predicted things would be chaotic for me a couple months ago, and they were indeed. Seemed like one case of bad timing piled on another. Maybe the universe is conspiring against us this month.
