So yes, this is a day of squee. For one, I got around to watching Heroes.

So it's my birthday. I'm 28 today, woo! *g* I have today and tomorrow off work, and with Monday a holiday, it's a five day weekend. I spent the morning idly shopping in a slow lazy way which would not be possible if the kids weren't at childcare, and actually got very little, but the browsing was fun. I work for an awesome company. I mean, really, this is a rare thing. Recently a coworker from another office, halfway across the country, who most of us have never met, had an accident. He's in serious condition, in the hospital, outcome uncertain. The company sold off "casual day" stickers for donations, buying the right to wear casual clothes ( Read more... )

So I'm working Saturdays now.

On first glance this seems like a bad thing, but it's only a half day, and I get a half off during the week to make up for it. Plus, and this is the cool part, I get to work from home. And since the work requires at least two monitors, they gave me a new one and a new video card. Yay dual monitor system for free! *
