Yesterday I saw Finding Judas. This is pretty much a reaction to that. Has spoilers for it, obviously. It's mostly House/Wilson friendship, but you can see the pre-slash if you look really hard.

Wonderful fic. I love the scene-by-scene breakdown. And the phone calls are wonderfully illustrative.

Wilson isn’t sure, but he thinks maybe they just made up.
That is very them. But still nice, which we haven't seen in a while.

And He doesn’t do guilt, especially for things that are not his fault. He glances at the phone and reminds himself that he doesn’t do regret, either.
Oh, House.

He'll get there. The growing awareness and confession of how this works and how it came to this flows through the piece really well, there without being the point.

And House with the staff of the clinic was great. Angry and frustrated and bargaining.

Thanks so much for all the kind words! I think House would come around eventually; he's very smart, after all, and has to realize how he ended up in the situation he's in, even if he doesn't like it. Refusing to take any blame would be lying to himself and of course, House hates lies.

I just feel sorry for the rehab staff that has to handle him. *g*

Yes! Of course.

He would never admit to anyone that he understood that it was his own fault, because that would encourage them to blame him for other things instead of leaving him alone. But, still, Wilson can read him very well. :-)

I also loved the idea of Cuddy holding a meeting to warn people about House. There was a great fic in the first hw_fest about everyone warning Wilson about House.

Yeah, House only likes sympathy when it suits his purposes, like getting out of things. Also, hw_fest has been awesome. So many lovely fics! There was this one, with spooky stalker invisible Cameron and voyeur Chase that was just fantastic. *g*
