There's really no reason to wonder "what-if" at this point. Just quit the smoking NOW and take your prenatal vitamins and I'm sure the baby will be just fine. :)

I smoked the first couple months with my first two pregnancies, and they turned out just fine (for the most part... :P)

I'm so glad there isn't any devastating consequences. I have quit smoking, but I did give in a few days ago. Major melt down about bills, cars, and roommates. I felt so dang guilty afterwards... I still feel guilty. It was pretty difficult to give up cold turkey but it's worth it. I know it is. And I feel a lot better knowing that there aren't any pending damning illnesses. Thanks for your advice!

As long as you don't have any more "slip ups", then I'm sure you'll be fine.

Just keep that feeling of guilt fresh in your memory for the next time you feel like you're going to cave, so that you don't.

And talk to your doctor about it if you can't seem to give it up completely. I had cravings for cigarettes when I was pregnant, but only for a split second at a time and I would always think "I've come this far without it, I can keep going."
