I don't get it!!!

AHHH!!! I'm so dang frustrated. Have you ever been with someone who doesn't like one of your pets? Seriously, I know my cat can be annoying sometimes, but she doesn't bite or scratch. She's extremely personable, and loves attention. But when she's mad about something, or if her litterbox is dirty, she'll poop or pee on the couch. I have to be ( Read more... )

Was Kat ever a stray? If so, then yeah, changing the litterbox wouldn't be a good idea, but if she was never a street cat and she as ONLY lived inside the house and is up to date on her shots, then it should be fine.

The cat probably pooped on the couch because of separation anxiety because you aren't there.

Well, she wasn't a stray, but I did find her. I think she was lost for a little while. When I found her she was skinny, but healthy. She was declawed and spade so she had to have had an owner who cared about her very much. She has had her shots, and has lived with me since last November. And I agree, I think she pooped on the couch because she misses me. I've never been gone this long away from her. :o)

I say I can understand his frustration, but it's not your fault. If it's a serious issue he could put her in the bathroom where it's easier to clean.

I also think the cat is probably acting out because you're gone, but I'm not the cat so I really don't know.
