I passed the bar!

As I sit in my house and wait for the bar results (coming mid-October), I'm doing very little. I pretty much read, write GSW classes, and cook all day. It's actually quite relaxing and I'm not really looking forward to rejoining the real world (finding a job, etc). But if anyone needs a mediator, do give me a call.

I am bored to a truly amazing extent. We're going over non-legal library research in our final substantive research class (test on wednesday). It's not exactly new information. Also, I've done all my reading for the next two days and will shortly have my five and a half hour break. I have no idea what I'm going to do with myself. Yes, I could work ( Read more... )

Today I have a 5 1/2 hour break between my two classes. I have finished all my reading for the week (there wasn't much of it). The sun is out and it's supposed to be beautiful. I'm going to have 5 1/2 free hours in the middle of a beautiful day. I think I may have find my way to a bookstore and then a pretty place.

I have just discovered a hidden jewel on Captiol Hill. About half a mile from campus is a magical place called Sugar's Bakery & Cafe. I had tried some pastries from there a few months ago, at a friend's birthday lunch, but had never gone in. Today I had some time to kill after lunch and wanted dessert. The gods are playing an April Fool's joke on Seattle. It is snowing. In April. WFT?!!! This is so not right.

So, I contacted the Snohomish County Dispute Resolution Center to find out if my mediation class would qualify me to take their mediation practicum and get certification. It does! Now I apply for the practicum and get started with that process. This is really the first step in becoming a professional mediator, so it's very exciting.
