The surgery went so well. My mom and I are practically speechless we're so thankful and elated. Dr.Brownstein was in and out in 2 and a half hours, and I'm sure the results will be fantastic. Eli was chatting up all the nurses before AND after his surgery, showing his gentlemanly wit and grace right up to the moment they wheeled him into the taxi

kate, you got it, though i'm sorry that i'm just getting to it today. i'd turned off my computer early last night.

also, p.s. thank you for calling yesterday so quickly. you sounded completely exhausted--i'm sure it was so draining to be there, and just waiting and all the tending and everything you needed to do--but it was SUCH a relief to hear you, and then eli, say that he was okay.
