This is quite possibly the most (stereo)typically '80s thing I have ever heard.

I miss the verbs préciser and revendiquer.  Especially the former.  Nothing sounds as good in English.

Back in the Cold War, Americans were supposed to be competitive in the world by being proficient in math, science and LANGUAGES.  Why have politicians today completely dropped that last subject for the list?

This wind is insane. The noise is competing with my music. I'm sure being on the top floor of a hilltop 14-story building doesn't help with the noise. But at least I'm inside. The wind nearly blew me into the street when I was walking to class.
