You always hear about how toddlers are so accident prone and always hurting themselves, right? So how come I'm the one with a skinned elbow, bruised knee, pulled muscles, cut up shoulder, and broken glasses?
Toddlers are a menace. They cause more accidents than cats.
Of course, the time Brilliant Husband dropped Small Child on his head and ended up in the emergency room on his birthday, that was mostly his own fault. (I realize now that how that accident happened is very hard to explain without gestures.)
Are those injuries (and damages) all from the same incident, or different ones? I trust Bear was not badly hurt?
Heh, my injuries are mostly from playing with Bear at the park. He has so far only bruised himself good and proper once, whereas I bring home a new injury almost every day. Being small and unstead is apparently safer than being large and more concerned about someone else's safety than one's own, *grin*
Mass, and the square-cube law. Twenty pounds hitting the corner of a table or landing on, say, gravel is a lot less total force than a hundred pounds doing the same. (They also don't fall as far when tripped.)

You dive to save him when suddenly he was no where near being hurt and you end up needing stiches.
Don't forget your shin guards and helmet next trip to the park. ;)
