A lot of 'mericans are scared, really scared.

It seems appropriate that mother nature would orchestrate such an explosion of color as the days become grayer and shorter. Thanks momma nature.

ps-I'm still sick, but the recent sun and array of fall colors have enlightened my spirits.

Autumn is a time of slowing down. The plants slow their growth as they settle into cooler living. I read the pages of my books slowly, thoughtfully. The pedals of my bike move at a sluggish pace. As I type, Dave is on Mt. Rainier. He and his long-time friend Karl are climbing with a guide today and tomorrow. They plan to summit tomorrow around or a little after sunrise. So, I guess there was a huge rally in Anchorage last weekend. I only heard about it from someone at my new university. It hasn't gotten much media coverage for some reason. Hmmrmmmm. Anyways here is what one of the rallies organizers said about the event and a video of the 1400-1500 people there! Good for them!
