The The Supper Club at Harris Avenue. was incredible. Everything was so delicious and well planned out. The wine parings were perfect as well. Wow, finally some warm sunny shine! I'll take a whole lot more of it. I mowed the lawn today and did some garden maintenance. It's funny how every year I think I've got my garden figured out, then I quickly realize how much I keep learning. I spent a bit of my day watching the Democratic National Convention speeches. I was quite impressed with most of them. Especially Barack Obama's acceptance speech of the Democratic nomination. I thought Hillary Clinton gave a nice speech for the most part, but she did focus a few times too many on what she did and why she had run for the nomination ( Read more... )

Well, after some much needed coffee and a rain shower, I ventured out into my garden. This is today's harvest. I'm not sure my cucumbers will be that big, since they got a late start and the warm weather is fading fast. If they are little guys, I may decide to pickle and can them.

Sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, blueberries, and green beans.

When I was in elementary school, I loved books. I couldn't get enough of them! I loved when the class would make its weekly trip to the library. There we could wander the aisles, carefully choose books, and sit down on bean bags and mats to read. Also, there was story time in the library! Heck yes ( Read more... )
