My mother likes to go through my belongings and throw things away or donate them without asking me. She sees it as keeping the house clean. I'd argue that they're my property and she doesn't have the right to do so, but then she says they were bought with her money even if they were gifts and she has every right to choose. /cries in the corner all ( Read more... )

Sorry for on here. ^^;;
That's kind of rude for without your permission..

You should maybe..write paper say ask you first with your permission or no. That's your things stuffs..
maybe you should buy box (plastic boxes) with of your stuffs in with letter on this that's your and not do throw or things without permission.

Thanks for the suggestions. Sadly, she's a little… mentally unsound. If I write notes or pack my things into plastic boxes she gets really upset and thinks I'm being manipulative or controlling towards her. Then she'll go out of her way to get into things and make a mess. It's really a catch-22. I can't win. Just survive. ^^;; She's a charmer (I say with a heavy tone of sarcasm). She's always seeing me as the bad guy. Oh well.

I've managed to get most of my stuff into certain areas of the house and I try to keep her out (I lock my bedroom door), but she's determined sometimes. It's gotten a bit better recently, but she's still not quite right upstairs. I can't get her to a doctor to get her head checked either. She won't go.

Thanks for the ideas and support. Sometimes I forget what the world is like outside of this loony bin. XP It means a lot. ^^
