Rough day on the road today: really strong crosswind kept trying to blow the RV off the TX 180 West. Now in Snyder, hope to reach Carlsbad Caverns tomorrow.

Since 23 april we've been in the US. Today we're in Texas, Dallas-bound.

Just dropped Kirsten off at school. The mom of her friend, Sofy, told me today that yesterday Sofy cut her hair so that her bangs would be just like Kirsten's.

My approval for my permanent (more-or-less) residence card came through yesterday. This, after a couple of screw-ups by the Immigratiedienst: I sent them one form, they claimed I'd sent in another. I reply, "Ja, en ben jij mijn kleine meid?" (Yes, and are you my little girl)
