Brown Tudor Kirtle
I got a bee up my bonnet on Thursday and cut out the bodice of a brown Tudor-style kirtle to wear under a blue/tan/brown late 16th C. women’s doublet. I had previously started a high necked chemise, which I need to get back to, but for now I can wear my square necked chemise under it in needed. Byzantine Commission
So I have 5 tunics to make for Sir William. He apparently used to covet what I made for my ex and when we discussed doing some sewing for him, I told him that I work usually in high contrasting tones, and he was cool with that. So on the board we have:

Green Velvet and Byzan Tunic
I was able to slavage enough green velvet from the scraps to make another gore for the back seam of the dress, so my plan is to have it done by 12th Night.
In the meantime, yesterday I cut out the under tunic for Sir William’s Byzantine commission. The undertunic is a red linen with gold trim on the sleeves and the supertunic is a tan herringbone ( Read more... ) -
