I am in love with this already! And I'm glad to see Brittany not buying into Sue's explanations its so much in character to second half season 2 Brittany.

Your Sue is, of course, glorious.

Thanks! I love using Brittany as the one who gets it, only nobody believes her because they can't understand what the heck she's talking about. This is the first time I've written Sue, so I'm glad it's coming out well!

Hooray for insightful!Brittany! And I love Will's "God help us all" line about Kurt and Santana sitting together - man I hope that they live up to their potential terror.

This is delightful. The only reason I can think of Sue not having read Sun Tzu is that she favors Machiavelli

Can't wait for more!

Thanks! Santana and Kurt get some nice little bits. I'm doing my best to have everyone get something fun to do. Quinn, Sam, and Mercedes are kind of my sticking point in the outline of the later chapters (they're just sort of standing around saying "What are we going to do?"), but I really want to make this a true ensemble story.

Yep, that's the true biggest stretch of plausibility. ;) Sue is fun to write, though.

Oh, this is awesome!!! :) You write a fantastic Sue, and I adore her nicknames for the kids. This had me giggling like crazy. All the voices are right on, but Jesse also stuck out to me as being especially on. And a few lovely little meta comments (like about hiring a show choir consultant)- awesome.

Also, Lauren and Sue... I can't wait to see where that goes!

Thanks! Sue is so much fun. I suspect it's kind of like what writing Jayne Cobb would be like, in an odd way--you get to just completely remove any filters and go.

Glad you liked Jesse. He has some fun little bits in the SUV with Burt, Carole, and Blaine coming up... ;)

Ah, yes. Lauren and Sue's relationship may end up a little...strained when all is said and done...

Lovin this already! You have Jane Lynch's voice in my head narrating that opening journal entry, which was so perfectly Sue. I have to say I found it especially hilarious as a school librarian because I know that some teachers do actually think it's pointless trying to get kids to read, so my budget should be there for poaching.

I love a good ensemble fic, especially when it involves all the characters on a long bus ride with Sue in the driving seat. I love that Brittany is the only one who is rightly worried that they are getting kidnapped. This is going to be so much fun. Now I'm wondering if Burt, Carole, Jesse and Blaine will end up being the rescue team? I'm trying to imagine Burt and Jesse in a conversation together and hoping you'll feature some SUV ride scenes too.

“I don’t recognize you from the photos on my dartboard."

I love your Sue!! Can't wait for more.

Thanks so much! This was my first stab at writing Sue, so I'm glad it turned out all right, especially the journal. She is so much crazy fun to write. (And I accidentally stumbled onto a bit of realism with the library thing? I'm not sure whether to giggle or be sad.)

It's going to be tricky, but I'm really trying to make sure every character gets something fun to do at one point or another in the fic. (The ones that are refusing to do anything more interesting than stand around saying "What should we do?" in the later chapter outlines are Quinn, Sam, and Mercedes, but I think I'll be able to wrangle them into line. Ooh, I think I have an idea for Sam already! Heh. Maybe this won't be so hard.)

I'd say you have pretty good instincts on the SUV being the rescue team. ;) Actually, there are two rescue teams, but the second one hasn't appeared yet.
