The Following Took Place Between 7:00 PM And 9:00 PM...

Jan 09, 2009 22:24

[Events occurred in real time.]

Just got back from an exclusive big-screen movie theater presentation of the 24 two-hour season premiere, courtesy of FOX and the local radio station that I won the advanced screening passes from.

(Between the earthquake that struck Southern California the day before and actually winning a contest, it's a little hard for me to decide which event yesterday was more surprising.)

Although the advertised appearance by cast members never materialized (that was a huge let-down), my guest and I were treated to some cool "24" swag (didn't win the action figures, though) and more popcorn & drinks than we knew what to do with. And, of course, the first two hours of the new season did not disappoint (much of the audience was cheering and hollering throughout the screening).

Now, while I won't post any real spoilers (for those of you anxiously awaiting the Sunday broadcast), I will provide you with this very important plot point (first, to prove that I did in fact watch this advanced screening and second, to also help you avoid some early confusion):

The Day documented in Season 7 does not take place immediately following the events of "24: Redemption" but actually picks up the story several months afterward.

And as all fans of this show already know, the action can (and will) hit you immediately and won't let up.

Jack is definitely back! (And so is someone else...!)

For those of you who feel left out and need your Jack Bauer fix now, you can either check out the official site or better yet, experience his insane adventures in Japan!
