Last night i had to work at the psych ward at puget sound hospital. it wasn't so bad, i read alot while my client slept. there was the occasional crazy person out-burst. a man talking about WA being a communist state and how he has a license to kill in every state but WA. and another that came from pierce county jail because he was eating his own

Is this a regular part of your job?

when there is a minor in adult ward we have to provide 24 hour support. there aren't many children's wards and when the do admit them to children's it's hard to get them out so we would rather them go somewhere short term. i do it maybe once a month, not a biggie, just sick people. It was so sad, last night, there was a woman there who teaches at spanaway lake high school...sad.
