5 days ago, we buried my grandfather. Even now, it doesn't seem real. I haven't really had time to mourn fully, with finals and everything associated with that on the horizon. I haven't let myself have a complete crying breakdown yet, but I'm sure it will happen at some point ( Read more... )

I'm so not looking forward to 9.45 -12.30 on Friday. As we get closer and closer to that time, it seems less and less real. I'm especially not looking forward to the "tradition" of dumping dirt on the coffin.

But on the bright side, at least they'll be whitefish and bagels aterwards.

My grandfather lost his struggle today. He was 73 years old. I don't think that anything that I could write here could do him justice, so I'll just leave it at that.

I arrived back safely from Florida this morning, about 2 hours earlier than expected thanks to some crafty working from friendly res agents. I landed only to find out that I'm going to have to return to Florida soon ( Read more... )
