I'm freaking paranoid. I could have sworn something was wrong with my cat's eye, so I Googled. Which then, of course, convinced me that she had all of these horrible things wrong with her, she was at death's door, and had me desperately trying to figure out how to squeeze a visit to the vet into my very non-cooperative schedule. No working today!
Yes, today was my furlough day. Well, the first of three for this semester. With the possibility of 7 more next semester. (I'm being choppy on purpose, mocking the state legislature that keeps changing their minds and adding things bit by bit.) 13.5 hours
That's how many hours I was at work today. I was there for almost 12 hours yesterday, and 10 hours the two days before that. Stupid furlough days. Had a whole rant on the conspiracy of why they chose the days they did, but too tired to type it. my boo boo!
my baby, although she has totally outgrown baby stage at this point, turned 21 today! well, maybe not actually today, but when we got her all those many years ago, the vet said she was born in the middle of march, so we picked st patty's day as her birthday. now i can take my feline companion out for a beer to celebrate. or more accurately, a ( Read more... ) -
Safe for now
They cut 6 teachers, 6 people, today. I was not one of them, but two of them were from my department. It really sucks. Some of the cuts just don't make any sense. I'm going to leave it at that, and feel odly guilty that I still have a job while others I care about don't. -
this week sucks
So I started Monday morning in a cranky mood. My sister's district got cancelled, but mine only got a 1 hour delay. grumble. For the kids. grumble. that was announced after 6 am. grumble. Worst day ever!
If I had more time because I didn't have to recreate everything I've ever done, I would so post about it....but I don't have the time because I do have to recreate all that stuff....so I'll rant later, when I can breathe again...
