Does anyone have any interest in any garlic scapes or fresh garlic? I dug up a whole pile yesterday afternoon because it was in the way, and it's far more than we can use anytime soon and I don't have anywhere to put it. I tried using garlic scapes (from the farmer's market) in stir fry last year, and wasn't wicked impressed. What are your thoughts on that?

I've never really worked with the garlic scapes before. Some of the stuff I read online suggested trying them as a pesto with walnuts, I haven't done it yet though I was thinking of maybe trying it.

Anything pesto-like sounds good to me, although I have never actually tried making non-basil-based pesto. The scapes we had last year were kindof hard/woody, and I thought frying them would help, but it didn't. (Now that I remember better, I think I put them over pasta with sun-dried tomatos; it was edible, but not amazing.) So young/fresh ones would probably work better.
