I must admit that I noted the irony of this as well. Not because of the people who are suffering from the effects of this legislation, not at all.

But just in the way that some Californians seem to believe they live in a more "enlightened" state, so far removed from the caveman-like religious conservative barbarism they believe is so rampant in the midwest and south. Yeah, apparently not.

I'm not blaming anyone or making light of what I believe is a tragic issue. But I at least hope that those Californians who believe they are so morally and intellectually superior to the midsection of the country now realize that they don't, in fact, live in a fucking bubble.

As I keep saying Dont blame Cali as much as Utah who sent over 20 million $ to get this passed. Fucking mormons who dont mind buying and selling 12 year old girls to dirty old men but gay people are repugnant. It barely passed and I do believe there will be lawsuits and eventually it will go to the Supreme court and hopefully Obama will have replaced 1 or 2 justices with people who can think rationally and understand the meaning of 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' I fully believe that gay marriage will be legal in my lifetime....I just dont understand why ANYBODY would want to marry...but whatever, good luck to em.
