So, with a little more moving, we will all be together in one house. We have Nate, Blaze, Drew, KJ, Roger, Devin (the short person) and myself in the house. There is more than enough room for all of us
( Read more... )
Like most young people, they want everything now, have little tolerance and want things to go their way. These are the things we need to overcome. I think we need to have a little E-motion connection party for the family and get connected.
Maybe a white board or bullentin board where if someone is having a problemt hey can put up a anonymous note with what their problem is, just to let the others know a situation, without the confrontation.
That may work. I've been doing research on communes and reading into some of thier solutions for things. Unfortunately we can't just sit in a teepee and smokum peace pipe and talk it out but I think we need to arrange something similar to revive that connection and a feeling of togetherness. Any suggestions?
Well, one thing that comes to mind is chores. You guys have specific things that need to be done each week. Rotate some chores between randomly pciked pairs every week or two weeks. In one way it will force people together and give them common ground. Maybe a specific time each week that everyone does their chores.
More ideas, depending on people's schedules:
Group dinners, at least once a week, more if possible.
If you guys were buying the place not just renting, I'd say something that would really work is to once a week get everyone together to do something to improve your house. Whether it's painting a room, building something, decorating, yard work, whatever. Give them something that is a common goal.

I would love for you to drop by if you can. I am having another old friend over Saturday afternoon. Maybe you can come too.
As far as the household issues go, I was just acting as go-between until things got more rational then we all talked it out. Everyone feels better about the situation. I knew, ultimately, with our group, things would be fine.
Congratulations!!! I would love to meet Harmony and see how you are doing. I'd give you a phone number but we don't quite have one yet. Talk to you soon though!

I've been so busy, I can't remember what I was just doing... I'm also quitting smoking so I'm going a little nuts. It doesn't matter though - it's going to save us money. I miss you too, you know. I think Sunday would be a good day, if you are up to it. I am looking forward to hearing all about everything I missed. I'll let you know when I get a phone in the house.

Currently we are renting but our next house will be the one we buy, unless we arrange something with the owner.
