For my Gender and Society class, we've been assigned to watch some kind of pop culture tv show, movie, commercials or magazine and analyze their images of masculinity. I'm attempting to sit through Twilight but oh my god it's even more painful than I remember! I don't know if I can make it all the way through this. >.<

Yeah, probably should have picked something less icky. I just figured that with Twilight, people in the class would probably have a strong opinion one way or the other. Not a whole lot of people like to discuss in my Gender and Society class and it's annoying.

Eh, Edward is like the ultimate emasculated man. He can kill people with his pinky, but because he luuuurves Bella and humans too much, he doesn't. Oh, and he's a stalker creepy guy.

Oh, and the message for guys is that if they behave antisocialy and basically hate on a girl, ignore her, but then save her, she'll LOVE him and let him control her. However, if guys act actually INTERESTED in a girl, then she'll ignore him for the more mysterious emotionally unavailable guy. Ugh.
