Going to see Big and Rich November 2nd. Yay for me. I have to miss a home hockey game, but I guess I'll survive.

The new car is working well. School started today. I like the first day, it always seems to go well and give you hope for the year. Then the rest of the week arrives...

I went to Land 'O Lakes/Eagle River for the weekend. We went to "Pig in the Pines" in St. Germain yesterday evening. I walked around Eagle River and ate at a neat little diner that has a huge amount of soda choices. I chose a Key Lime offering. Had fish on Friday night for the first time in quite a while. Summer school starts tomorrow at 8:15. Finally something to do.

I went skating today and only fell 3 times. I take that as a moral victory.

Once again I am a student at NMU, though this time as a graduate student. I am taking classes in order to be a reading specialist K-12. I am taking two classes that begin on Monday and are only 4 weeks in length. That makes the pace of the class very fast, on top of having to teach Math for 3 out of those 4 weeks. I had surgery to straighten my right eye on Tuesday.  I have been off of school for the rest of the week.  I'm doing fine, and my eye is slowly healing.  I have some double vision, and it may be a while before I'm able to drive myself.  Otherwise, I've had very little pain and the most uncomfortable thing was after surgery when they patched the eye ( Read more... )
