Oh, for all intents and purposes, I think it's pretty over. Just by filing that he violated the disbarment order and adds to the evidence that got him disbarred in the first place. They're not going to say "Oh wait, you're a good lawyer after all!" when he's actively running around being a bad lawyer. :-P Jack Thompson may never admit it's over -- but as in all other things, Jack Thompson saying it means exactly the opposite is true.

ETA: I propose October 25, the date that the disbarment is permanently effective. Also an Aftermath night.
