Thanks to a stupid client giving me my 1099 form WAY late, I now owe EVEN MORE taxes.  Before this "adjustment" I was going to have a little left in savings after I paid my taxes, but now I will have next to none.  I know its "just money" but it really sucks to have a cushion in your savings and then just have it all taken away.  I feel crappy and ( Read more... )

 Work has slowed to a crawl.  Hardly any coming in at all, which is especially ironic considering that I just got "promoted" last month to the main roster at my agency from the "New Talent" roster.  I thought this would mean more and better jobs, but apparently this means fewer and crappier jobs.  Who knew?  To add to this fun I saw my accountant ( Read more... )

So, I'm gonna toot my own horn here, which I usually don't do. Buuuuut, my work is on the cover of TV Guide this week (I didn't even realize they still had TV Guide before this job- I thought everyone had DVR!), so if you happen to see a copy, I did Edie Falco's makeup. She was really, really nice, as was everyone else in the cast. So, yay me.

I love how buying a few things for your household can feel so great. So adult. I went to Bed Bath & Beyond today and bought new dishes, recycle bins, a teapot and other not-so-exciting stuff, but it made my day. Possibly my week ( Read more... )

So, after looking at the apartment a second time and briging along a friend as a second pair of eyes, I decided not to take it. The room was aloooot smaller than I remembered.
