The search is finally over.   I have found a new job.   As of May 30th, I'll be working at Restaurant Eve.   Granted, I'll be at another restaurant instead of a pastry cafe. My position at Eve will be the same as the one I hold now at The Manor House.  There are pros and cons to this job, but all in all I am happy with my decision.   I believe that ( Read more... )

Things are going well in my life.  Went down to VA Beach this past Saturday for a 'last minute wedding'.  I have to say that the wedding was nice.  One could difinitely tell that both the bride and groom were / are so in love.   In some way, this reassures me that love does work.  That it exists.  Just by looking at Carl and Leslie, too, reassures ( Read more... )

Ah...my Saturday.   It has been busy this past week at work; just glad its over.  Made a spin on (in my opinion) a traditional dessert - tiramisu.  Instead of making it the traditional way, I made a spiced blini, marscapone mousse, and topped with coffee 'caviar'.  This concotion was used for Saturday temptations - a nice mid-day snake for those ( Read more... )

I have to say that I'm proud of myself today.  When I get into a certain mood / state of mind; I tend to go on a impulse shopping spree.  Needless to say, that this afternoon I was in one of those moods.  I went to a local bike shop,  and found a new bike that is just perfect for me.   My impulse was telling me to buy it right then and there.  ( Read more... )
