I just set my 401K contribution every month to pretty much double...it now represents over 27% of my income. The Dow started trading today below 9000 and is on its way lower... Am I the only sane one in the room, or the most craziest? Does the fact that I am a little bit apprehensive about it at least speak somewhat to my sanity? :)

I just worked my butt off to produce about a week's worth of work in 22 hours, and apparently it is going to be reviewed by the DASN tomorrow. OK I decided not to move to DC. I decided like 2 weeks ago but I guess I should let the world know now. However I have what now seems like an outstanding offer to move out there any time and also a cool job here that I will be taking on in December. I'll be a compensation analyst for the Dept of Navy. Sounds neat huh. :)

I just got tentatively offered a pretty sweet promotion in Washington DC. They are still working on how much $$ they can offer me, hopefully I will know by the end of the week just what kind of cash we are talking here.
