I didn't mention Melody was unwell because... well, I was scared. Many of you remember the last time I took a dog to the vet because he was limping. =( Well, Melody is turning 11 next month and just has arthritis in the metacarpals she broke back in 2007. She's got chewable rimadyl and is crashed on the couch now after much lovin' and fussin'

She had days like this back in PA... on cold, damp days. This is the first time she showed symptoms here. But I have a weather headache today, so it's clear there's something in the air. And the vet said it often takes us living here a few month to acclimatize and then the arthritis symptoms show up sometimes here too. =(

But she doesn't have a new injury and it's not osteosarcoma, which is always where my brain goes.

I think it was all a secret Imperial plot to bend the new vet's office to her superior will. At one point, three people were rubbing her belly and fussing over her, and all this with an adorable puppy in the waiting room who you would have thought would draw more attention!

Clearly, I've been away from LJ FAR too long, since I didn't even know you'd moved till I saw the shipping info on my pattern order! I'm so happy for you that you've moved to such a lovely place, and I hope Melody is completely recovered by now.
