134. IRL vs intarnetz

there are people who are really engaged when you talk to them in real life, but tend to be really non-receptive when you talk to them online. or they may be the opposite - you talk to them a lot online but nothing really happens when you chill in real life.

i know i shouldn't be weirded out by this, but it just gave me something to think about. some ( Read more... )

Erykah Badu apparently believes that years and years from now, we're gonna eventually decide to return to simpler modes of living. I don't really think that we're gonna end up w/out electricity or the Internet, but it might be awesome if it were true. Infuriating at first, to be sure, but eventually enjoyable.

Were you guys already in Canada when the massive blackout happened? There was apparently an amazing blackout party at Kensington Market where everyone just chilled, ate food cooked over grills + coal, talked to one another and jammed with their acoustic guitars and drums. I think that blackout allowed the city to just breathe for once, you know?

i don't think i experienced the black out. but from what i heard from other people, it wasn't as bad as the media made it out to be. parang "brown out" lang daw ang katumbas nun sa pilipinas. baka kaya siguro uso ang acoustic sa pinas.
