Since this pattern provides me with an unexpected opportunity to learn more about fellow citizens, and since I have well and thoroughly learned the hazards of a perceived imbalance in social exchanges lately, here is my required response ( Read more... )

1. Why are you so strict and boring?
2. Did you choose to become the officer of the law, or was that chore given to you in a past life?
3. Do you ever smile?
4. What is your favorite kind of wine?
5. Why is your hair so long and silver? A tad feminine, aren't you?

1. Because you wouldn't like to see what happens to planets on which I choose to relax my self-restraint.

2. I was bred to be a warleader, not a peacekeeper. Since war is not conducive to a stable society when there is only the one island to inhabit, providing authority seemed a better use of my education and nature, as well as a form of compensation for the sins of my past.

3. Occasionally. Usually when burning things and cackling maniacally. That is not entirely a joke.4. ...I'm not certain. I'm not much of a connoisseur; given my genetic modifications, ethyl alcohol has no perceptible effect upon my biochemistry, and I understand that the mood-altering effects provide most of the entertainment value of alcohol consumption. Generally, though -- some reasonably fragrant burgundy or merlot without too much of a tannic bite ( ... )

1. ...That sounds quite frightening...
I shall question it again...

2. I see, so you was simply born into your class.
How terrible, you never tasted real freedom before, have you?

3. Then smile more! You should smile more, Good General!
You look so sour all the time! Is this a reference to question one?

4. I never thought I would meet a man who is immune to one of the most pleasurable drinks ever created...
How is it that you hold such a high tolerance for ethanol, Good General? Ethanol is perhaps the earliest organic reaction known to humanity! It's intoxicating effects due to it's consumption have certainly been known since ancient times!

I have met many who seem to hold a very high tolerance for liquor, but you sir...

Goodness.

I wonder now how I will ever buy you that gift now...

5. ...You actually made a joke!
The world's most flat chested woman, indeed!

Oh no no! I simply teasing! You are all man, I know!

So no one has ever got passed your blade to ever cut your hair? Mhm! I doubt anyone ever shall, then! And thank ( ... )

1. Astute observational skills, sir.

2. I did, once. Or rather, I tasted what I'd misinterpreted to be freedom. It tied into #1 quite extensively.

3. ...I'll work on it? and yes.

4. As I mentioned, I am the result of a genetic experiment. A good portion of my genetic code comes from an entity that was never human, and beyond that, I've been infused with a substance that heightens every physical reaction. The effects range from luminous eyes to heightened speed and strength to accelerated healing -- I believe it's the accelerated healing that keeps alcohol from affecting me. Unfortunately, it also keeps most medicines and painkillers from affecting me either; if I am ill or wounded, the only effective solution for me is magical, and it's a waste of resources to expend such power on something as trivial as a headache, or minor injuries I would survive....wait, a gift? Whatever for ( ... )

1. What is your favorite color?
2. Where are you from...?
3. Do you like kittens or puppies?
4. What is your zodiac sign?
5. Puuuuuuuuuuuu~! Puuuu~! Come on!
Say it!

Sorry...
Couldn't help it.

Hello, there. Long time no see.

1. I'm not sure I understand the point of the question. What makes any color better than any other?

2. Geographically, I'm not certain. I was the result of a genetic engineering experiment run by the Shinra research department.

3. Kittens. They clean themselves and then do not lick people with the organ they have just used for removing excrement from their fur.

4. I'm ...not certain. I've just learned this year that my birth date is November 2; I hadn't considered any astrological implications, especially since I'm not certain if the shift in stars from one world to the next would affect the frauds' astrologers' readings.

5. NO.

...It has been a while, yes.

1. Just answer it or else I will say your favorite color is PINK!

2. ...Genetic engineering experiment...? Then you are not human...?
Shinra? I never heard of them before...

3. Yes! Another cat lover! All the dogs I ever met in my life tend to always *growl* at me...

4. ....why can't you just answer the question?
You are a SCORPIO!

5. ... (;_;) okay...

You seem better now!
I am glad!

What have you been up too?

1. Why should I care whether you arbitrarily assign me a 'favorite color', let alone which one it is? I still fail to understand the significance...

2. No, I'm not human. Technically I never was, although I was designed upon a human's genetic base. If you've never heard of Shinra, consider yourself fortunate. Rufus and I are maintaining an uneasy truce, but his father was responsible for some of the most insupportable abuses of power imaginable -- and I say this fully aware of the abuses of power in my own past.

3. I don't understand the appeal of dogs either. They drool, and they lick you after licking themselves, and they bark and growl and sometimes bite, and they have to be taken for walks since they usually can't be convinced to take care of their physical needs in a small tidy box the way cats can... cats are much more self-sufficient, which is attractive when one has a job that requires extended and unexpected absences for long hours ( ... )

1. How did you learn how to fight?

2. If you had to live with your desicion for the rest of your life, which would you choose; light or darkness?

3. ... how long did it take for you to grow out your hair?

4. What's better, in your opinion--vanilla or chocolate?

5. ... would you escort me down the aisle? It's usually for the father of the bride, but... since I don't have a father... I thought you'd be the best for that position.

1. Since I was created to be a genetically enhanced fighter, military training was a part of the experiment's process throughout my life. I can't remember a time when I wasn't being taught to fight.

2. ...This is one of those philosophical issues, isn't it. I'm afraid I'm not a terribly philosophical person. Personally, I would choose light because it's difficult to read in the dark. My eyes are better adapted to low-light conditions than most humans', but I do require some light to be able to read.

3. Since I was old enough to break the arm of the sergeant who intended to shave my head for me. >:3

4. Vanilla. Much more versatile; it can complement a much wider variety of flavors in addition to standing on its own. Versatility is quite a tactical advantage, after all; I should imagine it's equally valuable in food design.

5. I-- oh-- you don't mind? What I've been, what I've done -- has Cloud told you? No, wait, you were part of his world; you have to know what my other self did there-- and you still don't mind...? If you would ( ... )

Hmmmm...this is such an unusual ritual~

1. If you could name a planet, what would you name it?

2. What is the theme song for the movie that is being made about your life?

3. What villain from literature or history do you relate to the most?

4. What would be the three main rules if you ran your own country?

5. If you were to add a 13th month into the year, where would you put it and what would you call it?

1. ..."The Planet"? If there were more than one in the area, I would name it This Planet, as opposed to The Other Planet, I suppose.

2. Oh! I have one of those already! It's the source of my username, actually. Translates to 'One-Winged Angel.'

3. ...Myself.

If that answer does not suffice -- whose literature and history should I speak of? Being from different worlds, I am not certain whether we would have many common points of reference...

4. It depends on how many survivors citizens there were. If I were allowed to choose the citizens, it is unlikely that I would need to enumerate the rules. If I were placed in charge of Lumiere, however... let's pray that never happens. But, hypothetically speaking:

Rule 1: Stay out of each other's minds and out of each other's intestines. Structural damage to either one leads to no good ( ... )

Hmmmm...interesting name ♥

Oh my, and...I think I would love to hear that song!

Well, it doesn't have to make sense to me my dear, but to you and if you relate to yourself best thats perfect...albeit a bit scary.

*Chuckle* Oh I'm sorry...you make me smile.

Hmmmm well I think the Pax Calendar rearranges the days so however you would like it.

Remarkable hmm? Oh well thanks I think.

[ooc: pretend I have a link to the Advent Children remix of the One-Winged Angel theme here. ^^;;;]

I meant 'remarkable' as a compliment, sir. You think of things that it would never even occur to me to wonder about. I find that an admirable trait, that freedom of thought and imagination... I would guess that independent thought and freedom of expression were encouraged in your life, your world? That seems as though it would have been a pleasant way to live.

You probably do. ♥

I believe this set of questions was meant for individuals who aren't already best friends, so that people with less familiarity with each other can come to know each other better.

Have you seen either of our Clouds lately, by the way? Or should I ask someone to investigate the contents of your pants, considering the circumstances of the last time you (re)discovered a Cloud?

♥ I suppose I could always pretend, for the sake of participation~.

Can't say that I have, actually. It's been an incredibly long time for me since I last saw your Cloud and mine... well, I guess we've both just been really busy with work. He's not in my pants this time, unfortunately.

[private to Seph]
... I know the feeling. Seems like they keep disappearing a lot lately, huh?

Oh! So if you asked questions, then I would have the opportunity to ask you questions as well, yes?

...wait. There's nothing that prevents us from asking each other questions normally, is there.

In hindsight, I really don't understand the purpose of this specific question-exchange... but if you feel like playing, of course...

Mine's just come back! ♥ (points down) I'd imagine yours won't be far behind -- they tend to think similar thoughts, after all, just like the Yuffies tend to come and go in packs. And yes, I suppose that is the sign that this isn't paradise, just a second chance; paradise would certainly not come with so bloody much paperwork.

[private to Zack]
They tend to do that, I think. After the two of us died -- the first time, that is -- your Cloud spent a great deal of time wandering the world. At first he was trying to kill me the second time, and then ...just wandering. He seems to enjoy travel very much. Ordinarily I wouldn't be quite as concerned -- it seems that like cats, they always wander back home when the ( ... )
