Let's see, what's been going on here post kitchen renovation....

My hip has continued to cause pain, but at least I have an appointment with a top-notch specialist in town, even if the appointment isn't until the end of October. Yes, I am calling to see if there have been any cancellations. And yes, I am calling the regular doctor for something ( Read more... )

The group includes women from their mid-20s to... late 50s? mid-60s? with varying degrees of experience with Bible studies and lots of different church/childhood/family backgrounds and wildly different personalities.

We've also got two mother-daughter sets, which makes for some interesting stories (and even more interesting reactions to those stories).

The book is really intriguing. I'm still in the middle of it, so I can't give a definitive opinion, but I really love some of the discussions we've had about points the author has made (e.g. Why do we pray? Is God really sovereign -- and does that change how/why we pray?). Lots of challenges; love to stretch the mind and the soul!

Thankees ~ for the hugs and the compliment on the kitchen. As to your new kitchen, given what you've done with the dreamy lounge (and the rest of your home), I am certain it will be loverly!

Ack, poor YD. Bad enough without it being on her face.

I feel for you about losing your friend, that really sucks.

Geekage! That's what I need right now. *gug* Trouble with maintaining up to date geekage is that you have to spend all your time doing it. At least, it seems so. I hope I get through the weekend with my pc, I'm getting virus warnings every few minutes now.

Hang in with the hip, as if you have a choice, but I'm sending you soothing vibes. It will get handled, this time. :)

I'll hang in with my hip if you hang in with your PC. You're right about the maintenance that seems to be required by our electronic gadgets. I'm at the point where I know how to make them do what I want, but I have no idea how they work... so when they go wonky, I'm out of luck.

YD's face has begun to clear thanks to Bactroban. I hate using antibiotics in general, but when they're called for and appropriately applied, they really are amazing.

*hugs you*
