Update on My Leading Man ~ and thanks to all my FList!
As devsgma hoped, "No news is good news" ~ things have improved ever so much since my last post.
( Right this way for the overly long and detailed story, mostly here for my future benefit... ) -
A bit of a scare
My Leading Man does not like going to the doctor. Not that most of us do, but he's particularly stubborn about it, so he hasn't gone for a check-up in something like 10 years. He's also obese - probably on the morbidly obese side - has a family history of heart disease, loves his snack foods, hates exercise, and is 53 years old ( Read more... ) -
Boring garden stuff
Every year, I try to take photos of the front of the house so I can remember which peony grew where in hopes that I will be able to re-arrange plants (mostly peonies) in the fall to better balance colors ( Read more... ) -

Going to the Tuscany region of Italy with Mom and Middle Daughter ("MD") in October. Mom loves wide open landscapes, I love food (shopping & consuming) and MD loves people. Any suggestions for non-touristy places to put on our must see list ( Read more... ) -

The orthopedic surgeon's wonderful nurse called yesterday: I go under the knife (and saw) at 7:30 on Monday morning.

A quick update
• Middle Daughter (15 years old) got her learner's driving permit on Thursday and went driving Friday and Saturday. She's actually not doing too badly. She's also applying for part-time jobs so she can begin saving in earnest for her own car. I've said it frequently: she's 15 going on 40 ( Read more... ) -
