I keep trying to lose weight, too. I want to feel healthier. There was a time I was ridiculously skinny. I'm not trying for that, but I'd like not to be so heavy. It can be difficult when my sister is constantly buying food from restaurants to eat. I don't get to eat as healthily as I like (although, I know I don't eat that many healthy things). I'm still trying to lose some weight.
I also have to look into buying some solid tires for my trike and some stones to make a pathway from our shed to the concrete we have poured. It'll be so much easier to get the trike out to ride with those things.
Then, I need to remember to not park the car so close to the gate.
Good luck, and I support you from the distance of the internet :)
I had a great chat with my coach the other day, and she said that it's not so much stopping a habit, or building a new habit, it's that there's an existing habit that's working for us and we're reluctant to leave it (and I think you touch on that a bit with "Do I have my layer of fat to give myself an out"). I'm trying to figure out what's stopping me from success with my goals, and it's illuminating to read about your process. Thanks :)
