I've been watching figure skating since I was wee. I can't tell you the difference between a salchow and a lutz and would probably be called ~not a fan~ because I really only watch it once every four years but I do enjoy the sport ( Read more... )

very valid excuse to post more pics of those two.

IDK. I've always been more inclined to watch the single male skating, but maybe it's 'cause of Plushenko. I started to watch when he was doing the silly costumes thing on the european/etc contests 'free rounds' so there was an amusement factor.

Plushenko. I have a hard time getting over his hair but his Sex Bomb routine is pretty funny, so even though his attitude at the Olympics put me off, I can't ever truly dislike him.

Yeah he acted like a spoiled brat. Alas, while the way he acted I didn't agree with I totally agreed with the fact that the winner should be able to pull of the quad jump. Although he lost all reason when he behaved like that.

What a lovely trip through skating nostalgia! I remember loving all these people, especially Bourne and Kratz's Riverdance routine. Kurt Browning and Brian Boitano were my first skate-crushes for sure :)
