...Damn.

Over the course of one day in the non-holiday season, I tend to make, on average, $1 in tips. It's generally comprised of loose change that people don't want. I spend whatever singles and some of the quarters I get, and I just toss everything else into a bunch of empty tea tins. As of earlier today, I was working on filling up my third tin ( Read more... )

Now that's pretty sad, per day, but just think, $150 in loose change in a year and a half is pretty interesting... Definitely nice to have for the holidays:-) Use it well!

Sorry about holiday hecticness, hang in there! Hope Cafe lead is OK?

Yeah, it is pretty sad when you think about per day (or a day like today, when I didn't make a single cent in tips during 7 hours with customers), but, as far as the cafe servers go, I get paid pretty well since I've been there so long. So, meh. The $150 was just a shock because I never expected it to add up to that much.

We'll get through the holidays all right, I think. The cafe lead has a family emergency, so she's been out for going on two weeks now. But she might be back next week, which would be great.

I hope everything is going well with you!

That is sad... I guess that is something that makes it a little better, but considering how smart you are, still... Yeah, I guess it's a good thing it did add up to something decent!

OK, Good, may the chaos not be so chaotic!

I have a paper due on Monday, an exam in less than an hour and one tomorrow... Break will also involve me writing a paper, and I also have to work on dissertation scales, so yeah, loads to do, and add some apartment drama on there, which makes the undergrad stuff look pale in comparison. Oh, and Insomnia, let's not forget that! Wish me luck?

Yikes! Good luck on your exams and everything else! Hopefully it will all go smoothly. And hopefully the insomnia won't last much longer!
