Boo-yah.

I just went over to Target for some last minute birthday shopping for a friend because her birthday is today, and I'm a terrible procrastinator. Picked up what I needed for her and then, browsing through the DVD section, happened to find seasons 1 and 2 of XF on sale for $19.99. And, well, I already have season 1 (and, ugh, spent somewhere around $ ( Read more... )

Haha, everyone HATES 8 and 9, but I had to get them just for the few Mulderific parts. I must be the only person on earth who actually liked The Truth. But I did wait until I could get some cheap Asian imports on ebay so I wouldn't have to pay full price.

As for IWTB, I'm sorry to say, but waiting for the DVD is probably a good idea. I think it'll play much better on the small screen than it did in the theater.

Yeah, the Mulder portions of 8 and 9 are good to have, but the rest...meh. Then again, I still have both seasons on tape, so as long as my ancient VCR keeps working, I'm not in a hurry to spend all that money to replace them. :-P

That really sucks about IWTB. It seems like it was a disappointment for a lot of people. I guess that means they won't be doing another one as they had hoped?

I dunno, some people really loved the movie. It was just so not what I expected, especially since I was completely unspoiled. (Can you believe it, the world's biggest spoiler-whore goes straight for once? LOL) Also, it definitely was not a good movie to be released in the summertime, it would have been much better in the fall. But they didn't really lose any money because it was so cheap to make and even people who hated IWTB still want the alien colonization movie to happen, so maybe they will actually decide to do it. I think it could be good if they go back and do it in the style of FTF.

Happy birthday, by the way! :) That sounds great. When are you leaving? Maybe we could get together with Dinah before you go? I've been looking around for other jobs. Unfortunately, there's not too much out there right now. But I'm looking.
