So, been hit with some impressive curve balls lately. Rent being jacked up $300.00 so we have to move. Having to move in between Christmas and new years, working during the holidays (always do that isn't a surprise), then developing shingles on my face, being told not to come to work for a week destroying the overtime I was going to make to pay ( Read more... ) -
Exercising
So, I was on the elliptical going nowhere at 17.4 miles an hour when the silly image of the hamster on a wheel popped into my head. There isn't too much of a difference between that fat little hamster on his wheel and me on my elliptical. So now, whenever I am going downstairs to exercise, I picture myself as the fat hamster. Rumbles
For those of you who don't know I have 2 cats. One is an older female cat named Autumn and the other is a roughly 2 year old cat named Rumble. Autumn has her moments but the real character is Rumble. Worked 48 hours in 4 days this holiday weekend. I spent the evening of the 4th deeply appreciative of the thunderstorms that raged outside. Those storms allowed me to relax instead of, after 4 hours of sleep and a 12 hour work day, rush off to a town fair and cookout in Salem. Thank you mother nature for the reprieve. Oh! Don't leave brown racing stripes on the sheets through your clothes when you are perfectly capable of walking. We will make fun of you.

HOORAY VACATION!!!!
So, I had been tossing around the idea of heading out to Greece in August but not so sure on the $$$ front. The tickets are between $1300.00 and $1400.00 and that is just the ticket, not the extra $$$ I will want for stuff and stuff to do. Felines Against Literacy
I can never sit down and type or read anything without a cat rubbing, bumping or totally obscuring my view. The slip of a piece of paper over another or the tap tap tapping of fingers on keyboard is the siren call to fall felines I swear. I want it to be winter. Not because I have anything against Fall, quite the contrary, Fall is my favorite time of the year.
