1) only buying in the food we actually need
2) when I have enough money I buy local produce - although they are extortionate!
3) i use my car less but for school runs it is essential & i cannot use buses!
4) thermal lining on the curtains helps keep in heat in winter!
5) Turning the thermostat down 2 degrees saves loads
6) Washing at 40 degrees - only higher when someone is ill!
7) Luckily I work 5 mins from home so can walk to work! Even in the rain!
I could go on, but it would get boring! lol

If you are in rented accomodation there is nothing you can do at present, although I have yet to read the gov's plans on the rented sector (downloaded the paper...not enough reading hours in the day).
I wash at 40 degrees and use an eco-powder. I am not so sure about the new 15 degree powders/liquids/gels....... they are probably so full of environmentally damaging chemicals to clean at such a low temperature. It is one that I still have to check out as the only brand I have seen is Persil and the last time I tried their new stuff it ate holes in my clothes :(

I wouldn't trust anything under 30 degrees! Persil is awful stuff lol!
Using Sainsburys/Tescos own non bio at the mo! Everything else is soooo expensive! :(
