you mean nobody in that room would have grabbed their phone and started recording video of the lion coming through the door? because that's what I would do. while sitting very, very still!
any lion walking through a 4th floor office building door, has met humans already and is probably at least half-tame. :) and cats are capricious anyway; they do not invariably attack. you just never know if they're going to or not. except that acting like prey increases the odds.
You (or this character) have the same "authority issues" as one of my old bosses described me of having. I always countered with a- "Why, because I won't accept -That's the way we've always done it! - for an answer?"
There should be more (responsible) non-conformists. They think for themselves. Hugs and peace~~~

That title. I sat here giggling trying to imagine what the rest of the piece would be, and then it lived up to that exactly. Whee! I've heard stories from friends with more corporate jobs of similar inanities. Also I'd probably stay still just trying to figure out how the lion got there.
