A Year of Living Strangely (One Year of Lockdown 1, Day 78 of Lockdown 3)

It's been an entire year since we went into lockdown here (at least a week too late). This morning I looked at the post I made the day after the announcement and I sounded quite calm. It's really hard to look back now and remember what it felt like because, as we were saying in my Pilates class, it both seems a short time ago and a very long one. ( Read more... )

It's nice you've been able to find some positive things and you've gotten better at gardening and getting organized.

I'm the same with water temperature. My husband Mike acts like I like it scalding, but it's not that bad.

I'm surprised we haven't worn out the dial on our shower turning it up and down between us :)

We were trying to think of positive things that had happened in the last year and we did decide our main achievement had been some delicious tomatoes!

Definitely a strange year. What I should have said in the question about which parent I resembled is that my mum's motto was "always look on the bright side of life" so I was trying to do so hence the positives. On a different day I would have gone with my dad's favourite saying "never mind if things look glum, you always know there's worse to come" :)
